It has A/C, hot water, kitchen, large windows to facilitate ventilation and a ceiling fan over the bed for the hottest people. The bed is a double, but it also has an individual one.

Casa Viva Barrel is a barrel-shaped cottage which provides a novel experience while staying connected to the rich Costa Rican feel and ambiance. The cottage also has a notable craftsman feel where the carpenters took great attention to detail from the shape of the structure to the hand-made furniture, and round-shaped windows that were all custom designed for a truly unique and comfortable experience. This gorgeous property is situated in two acres of lovely garden with big trees, lawns, and 3 ponds from which emanates an amazing chorus of frogs every evening. The land then extends back towards Corcovado with 32 acres of rainforest, with a range of mammals in it. Sitting on the veranda, the rainforest is right there and usually squirrel monkeys, trogons, aracari and toucans, moving about. At night, the kinkajou family come and visit and you can watch them from the veranda.
