Falcon Overlook: Finger Lakes Gateway & Hobby Farm

This is a complete 800 sq ft Barndominium that is part of a newly built barn. Although the original design was not for a living space, a returning adult child made the transformation into what it is today. We are delighted to share this area with visitors who want to enjoy the flexibility of seclusion on the 50 acre hobby farm and use this as a base camp to enjoy the surrounding sites. This is wine country for sure! Within 8 miles is the Glider Capital of the world as well as historic Corning.

Single Bedroom stair free in-law suite with amazing sunsets and the feeling of being in the middle of the woods while still being close enough to enjoy a reasonable drive to some of the Finger Lakes best hiking trails, food, wineries and other destination locations. If you come in the winter you will want an all wheel drive vehicle if there is snow on the roads, but half a mile down the hill and you are on the state highway to the finger lakes region.

The master BR has a King bed and walk in closet. The 2nd BR sits across the hallway and is smaller and has a full size bed. The bathroom was completely renovated it features a walk in shower with ample lighting. A separate XL studio apt is in the back of the home w/ a full bath, kitchen and bedrooms. The Theodore Friendly House was built in 1880 in the Queen Anne style with Eastlake details throughout. Located in the Near Westside National Historic District, which is a prime location near Downtown Elmira's shops, restaurants, theaters, museums, arena, churches, and bars. Handy drive to Mark Twain Gravesite, Newtown Battlefield, National Soaring Museum, Corning Museum of Glass, Finger Lakes wineries, and Watkins Glen International. All are welcome!

Enjoy this cozy, comfortable little house and all the surrounding natural beauty. You'll have a private home in a rural setting nestled among the evergreens with a wildflower meadow to walk through and a creek to explore. Adjacent to the house is the farm. You can choose to just enjoy your country home, or you can book activities and nature classes at the cozy cabin and on the farm.
