Rose Cottage

Rose Cottage is a 150 year old Grade II listed property, located within the Durham City conservation area. It is ideally situated for guests to enjoy the many attractions of this historic city, including the Unesco World Heritage site of Durham Cathedral and Castle, Durham University Museums and Gardens, riverside walks and an abundance of eateries. Rose cottage offers guests stylish, comfortable accommodation with quality furnishings, a small furnished courtyard and complimentary guest parking.

Ben's Hut

Set on a working sheep farm, Ben’s Hut offers a double bed with the option of a single bunk above, giving a 2+1 format --- we charge an additional £10 per night for the bunk, this is added automatically when you book for 3 people. There is a shower room and a small kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. Fully insulated with central heating the hut is cosy warm at any time of year. Nearby:- Beamish Museum (a must see!!), Roman Wall, Durham, Kilhope Mining Museum, Metro Centre.

Recently converted cottage with panoramic views

A detached stone cottage in the heart of the north Pennines. Stunning views. With fantastic footpaths, cycle routes straight from the door for those with plenty of energy as it is hilly. Great base for exploring the area. With pubs and coop 5 minute drive or 25 minute walk. Recently renovated to a high standard but still feels characterful and cosy. Underfloor heating, induction hob and super insulated. 2 well behaved dogs only are allowed for a small fee. Sorry no other pets allowed.

The Studio is in the perfect location for visiting the beautiful city of Durham. Located just a few minutes walk from the railway station, the bus station and the restaurants, shops and bars of the city centre. You will have your own entrances front and rear. Inside you'll find a comfy king size bed, en-suite shower and toilet and a kitchenette with microwave, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities; toaster; toasted sandwich maker and a portable dual plug-in hob. The outside area of the cottage includes a raised platform & fire pit for your own use. Whilst it appears to be set in a remote rural location, it is in fact incredibly well-situated to be able to visit local attractions whilst being easily accessible from the main road: A1M . “A hidden gem definitely worth staying here!”

This very old, very tiny cottage offers guests a truly cosy place to stay. You’ll find everything you need in just 18 square metres! Ideal for couples and walkers to enjoy a getaway amongst the beautiful countryside of the North Pennines. The approach to Kipling Cottage is stunning and gives you your first glimpse of the beautiful rolling countryside. Please note that the cottage is not suitable for toddlers/small children, and all children must be declared during the booking process.

The Lake House

The detached Lake House is set in 11 acres. Ravensworth is an enchanting village with many of the houses dating from the 17th century. The village is defined by its green, and ancient ruined castle, only a few miles from the pretty towns of Richmond and Barnard Castle . A village pub and two wonderful farm shop cafes within walking distance. The Lake House has uninterrupted views of the lake and surrounding woodland. The Lake House can also be booked together with Willow Cottage.

The Oaks

The Oaks is attached to our home. It has its own private entrance from the outside and internal doors are locked. It is an ensuite room set out like a hotel room. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS OUR FAMILY HOME AND IS NOT SUITED FOR A ROMANTIC/ PASSIONATE NIGHT AWAY BUT FOR GUESTS WANTING A PEACEFUL GETAWAY.. Wooden stairs lead up to this first floor bedroom that has its own decked area with outside furniture to enjoy the fantastic views.
