Green Acres Cottage is a traditionally styled Irish Cottage, sited in breathtaking countryside just a stones throw from a working farm and nestled in a tranquil scenic setting overlooking rolling pasturelands and quiet country meadows. Centrally located between the towns of Claremorris, Knock, Kiltimagh and Balla and close to Knock International Airport,the cottage is an ideal base for touring the west - Westport, Achill Island, Connemara, Sligo, Galway & the Wild Altantic Way within easy reach

Kick back and relax in this calm, cosy space in the rolling countryside and just a 40 minute drive from Knock Airport. For something more lively there’s Westport and Castlebar, with their shops, bars and the beautiful coastline and beaches of the Wild Atlantic Way. The 2 friendly cats, Muffin and Bruce, prefer to live outside but like to say hello. When not away working, I stay in a chalet on a separate piece of land close by but not overlooking the cottage. I do respect guest privacy.

We are located approximately 10K from Cong and historic Ashford Castle. 10 K to the west are the beautiful Maamturk mountains offering exceptional hill walking opportunities. Leenane and Killary Fjord is a short drive west.
