Rosie's Studio

Rosie's Studio is a very special place decorated with original paintings by the late Salt Spring Island artist - Rosemaria Behncke. This large, unique cottage/studio is situated on a 25 acre farm in the peaceful south end of beautiful Saltspring Island, close to parks, beaches, Fulford Shops and the Ferry Terminal. Relax in this quiet pastoral setting and enjoy the sweep of the ocean out to volcanic Mount Baker. We welcome families with children and pets. Update: Emily the duck has passed.

The light filled farmhouse with cathedral ceilings has exquisite pastoral views of Glenora (Valley of Gold). No wonder it is called Golden Valley House! Visit the farm-to-table restaurant by day (Friday-Sunday from Mar-Sept.) or stargaze at night. Watch the farmers tend the vegetables while you cook up a meal in the spacious open kitchen. We're located in a rural setting, ten minutes north of Duncan. This a two acre property on the base of Mt. Prevost and Mt. Sicker. Hiking trails nearby. Ten minute drive to shopping centre and downtown Duncan. Direct highway access and scenic rural routes. Excellent location for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids) a nice rural farm experience!
