Charming Tiny House B&B Near Mountains and Downtown

Start your day with a homemade breakfast delivered to your door or prepared at your leisure with ingredients provided. Spend your day exploring the famous Rocky Mountains or the natural spaces of Cochrane, then snuggle up by the fireplace or bask on the garden-side patio at this exceptionally-crafted, intimate oasis. With a sunny reading loft, a cozy hand-built eating nook, and solid Wi-Fi you may not want to leave the tiny house at all! The natural materials exude warmth, and creative use of space means you have everything you need to make this your own enchanting, small-footprint home. The queen bed comfortably accommodates two adults. The daybed couch and reading loft can be converted to small sleeping spaces for up to two children as well. An additional charge of $15 per child requiring a breakfast applies. Beyond the small-footprint size, several features make the tiny house lighter on the earth including passive solar design, an earthen floor, and creative use of salvaged materials. You're welcome to explore our gardens and yard while you're here. Some of our home-grown edibles tend to end up on the breakfast menu! The tiny house is situated in our large backyard and has been designed for everyone's privacy, including your own sidewalk that connects you to your parking. Engage with us much or not at all - after check-in, it's entirely up to you! Historic downtown is within easy walking distance, with its shops and galleries, locally-made ice cream, locally-roasted coffee, and restaurants. Cochrane has some great natural spaces to explore including the river path, the Cochrane Ranche, and the nearby Glenbow Ranche. Banff is just an hour away and it's a 45 min drive to the mountains of Kananaskis Country. The city of Calgary is only 15 minutes from Cochrane, and the towns of Bragg Creek and Black Diamond make nice day trips. A choice of two breakfast options will be offered prior to arrival (one choice per party) and it will be delivered to your tiny house door at an agreed-upon time. New breakfast options will be offered each day. It's also possible to have the tiny house stocked with some breakfast ingredients if you'd prefer to make your own. The Guest House was originally built in about 1900 as a single storey log house. A few years later a second storey of logs was added. Approximately 50 years ago our family built an addition and renovated to make it the house it is today. It sits on ten acres of land including a treed coulee and pond for relaxing walks.
