Casa Bohëm is a hideaway designed with tranquility and relaxation in mind, a peaceful retreat from the outside world. The space is inspired by the Mediterranean — a fusion of old world charm and modernism featuring natural elements of stone, terracotta and wood and other natural textiles. The incorporation of arches and monolithic characteristics shows reverence for the Moorish cultures that have shaped the region's architectural identity. My cabin is a hidden gem in Urbandale, a neighborhood only 15 minutes from downtown that's filled with unique architecture, old trees, and multicultural flavor. Crafted from pine felled and hand-planed in Boone, NC, the cabin has a wonderful smell and unique aesthetic. It's like a woodcutter's home deep in the woods, yet sits safely in my verdant backyard.
