Rogers Recreational Area, Backbone Rock, Abingdon VA, and Boone, NC all make easy day trips. *Note: the Creeper Trail from WhiteTop to Damascus was destroyed by hurricane Helen. The 2nd half, from Damascus to Abingdon is open.

Located 1 block away from The Virginia Creeper Trail and 3 blocks away from Main St. downtown Damascus. Ride your bikes directly to the trail, or walk to one of Damascus' many bike shuttle services. Enjoy the town park located beside the river right across the street from your home, or enjoy our grill and fire ring each evening.

River House

The River House is a quiet two story farm house that sits on the South Fork of the Holston River. It is halfway between the trail town of Damascus and historic Abingdon. Enjoy the relaxing wrap around porch where you can hear and see the sights of the river. A short walk from the driveway is the Virginia Creeper Trail, the perfect place to hike, bike, or just walk with family. Fish along the bank of the river or take a short trip to the town of Abingdon to visit the Barter Theatre.

Our Bungalow is actually over 2,000 square feet. With 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, two living areas, fenced yard on all 4 sides, front porch, two decks & the soothing sound of Beaver Dam Creek, you'll have plenty of indoor and outdoor space for making memories with your family and friends.
