Great location for access to tons of hiking, flyfishing and other outdoor activities in the beautiful Bitterroot valley. Large shower with dual shower heads, stainless appliances and plenty of room to cook, two large decks for outdoor lounging and grilling. Note: the last mile or so is a primitive road. Trucks and sedans are fine but any vehicle with a low profile isn't recommended

Hamilton, Montana is a small town nestled in the shadows of the Bitterroot Saphire Mountains. The town a vibrant old downtown with theater, live music, a great weekly farmer’s market plus easy access to backpacking in the mountains or enjoying the river or local lakes. Hamilton is home to the Daly Mansion of the Montana Copper Kings. It’s close to several wildlife refuges including the famous Lee Metcalf Refuge. Guides are readily available for horseback rides, fly fishing , and float trips.

The Bitterroot Guest House

This new mountain modern guest house sits in the middle of a beautiful, 80-acre working ranch in the historic Bitterroot Valley of Montana. Hike the ranch or explore beyond on many scenic trails. We are a family of four living the good life on our small working farm and The Cottage is our vacation rental nestled into the center of our property. Complete with it's own driveway and nicely fenced off from the rest of the busy goings on of the barnyard, it is separate from our space, but animal sights and sounds are sometimes a part of the experience.
