She's a grand old lady, restored with care: her stairs creak, her doors don't quite close, her floors have the patina of a hundred years. Outside, the wind rises and the tall trees sway like drunks going home. To the north, the Himalayas beckon as the fireplace warms cold fingers after a walk to the monastery up the hill. Dalimkot holiday home

Dalimkot Homestay is a spacious apartment with 3 bedrooms, 2 living rooms , a kitchen and a balcony. The garden has lots of seasonal flora and fauna and local vegetables . It is accessible at any time .We serve meals in the out house too.There is a small poultry where we raise local chickens . You can spend hours in the out house enjoying the view of the hills, valleys, mountains and the river from afar. There are a few pet dogs, all vaccinated , very friendly and harmless. Town is not far.

Panorama. A Heritage Bungalow

‘Panorama’ where the last King of Burma’s second daughter spent an idyllic life in exile from 1947 onwards. She lived here with her husband till April 4, 1956. It is a beautiful property with a 180 degree view of the Himalayan range during the months when there is no haze. One can also see the western part of Kalimpong town. It's an almost 100 years old bungalow built during the British Raj. It is well maintained with polished floorboards and red oxide floors and fire places.
