Accommodation is comfortable log cabin style. Fully centrally heated to keep you cosy in the cooler months! 2 double bedrooms, shower room and open plan kitchen/living space, the perfect retreat. Outside is a grassy area for relaxing. A perfect place for your break away, with private parking!

The Lodge is a beautifully renovated guest house. The property is designed for 2 people. The property offers 1 bedroom and an open-plan living room, including well-equipped kitchen, dining area, a sofa bed, a south facing patio, parking and private entrance. The Lodge is adjacent to the main house and shares a drive. It is located in the heart of Stoke Gabriel village and 7 minutes walk to the river Dart, shops, pubs and the River Shack cafe. Sitting amongst beautiful, ancient beech trees, our cosy, straw bale barn is an ideal place to come and relax and to leave the world behind. The barn is detached and is surrounded by trees, open fields and the sound of birds and running water.

This 200 year old barn has been lovingly renovated to create a modern, open plan apartment that provides spacious accommodation for two. Its whitewashed stone walls and bare timbers retain the charm of the original building and two full length windows open onto a private patio and garden and flood the apartment with sunlight. Furnished with a mixture of the modern and the vintage, the walls are hung with original artworks and these elements combine to create a unique and beautiful retreat.

The annex is located right next to our home and provides a unique private space offering bed and DIY breakfast facilities for staying guests. Backing on to the River Caen and overlooking the beautiful 13th Century Parish Church, the Barn is just a short 5 minute walk away from Braunton's Village centre and North Devon's 4 best surfing beaches are all within a short drive away (3-7 miles).

The Annex

Welcome to our charming annex in Inwardleigh, near Okehampton and Dartmoor. Our one-bedroom retreat offers a peaceful getaway or a base to explore Devon. The open-plan layout includes a well-equipped kitchen, dining area, and a snug living room with a woodburner. Upstairs, a cozy bedroom and ensuite shower await. The annex, next to the hosts' home, provides flexible arrival with a lock box and access key. Your perfect escape awaits in this idyllic village setting.

Totally private and independent, our newly converted retreat is situated beyond our property in a rural and convenient setting. Within walking distance of a Country Inn and close to the coast, Exeter and endless country walks, Rae's Retreat provides a wonderful escape to the country.
