This home was originally designed by John Wangenstein in 1860 as the water pump house for the City of Duluth but was abandoned. Miss Elisabeth Congdon converted the pumphouse into an absolutely stunning French-style home. We are located lakeside on London Road, just a short drive to Duluth's downtown restaurants, entertainment, and Canal Park. PL19-166.

Warm up by the wood-burning fireplace inside or gather around the outdoor fire pit under the stars. The outdoor fire pit is only accessible from May-November. Summer is for the lake. Fall brings the colors. Winter is fireplace season. A four-season escape built for slowing down.

Get ready for a most relaxing encounter with nature....eagles flying in and around you, swans occasionally floating along the shoreline (besides our plastic swan friends, lol) and loons calling softly through the night. ..Sunsets and moon rises on the flowage can be mesmerizing, especially when sitting by a warm campfire.
