Swallow Cottage, Auldgirth - north of Dumfries.

Swallow Cottage was lovingly converted by Steve and Sarah from McMurdoston's old granary in 2014 and provides a wonderfully peaceful place to stay while exploring Dumfries and Galloway. The cottage is only 20 minutes drive from a 24-hour supermarket, a cinema and numerous eateries, but once you get here you'll feel as if you are truly in the middle of nowhere. We live just across the yard if you need us and we'll do everything we can to make your stay comfortable, relaxing and quietly memorable.

Comfy bothy set in a beautiful scenic garden

Craigieburn garden bothy is a glamping-type single room bothy in a lovely 6-acre garden in beautiful Moffatdale, a great location for walkers and cyclists. The garden has woodlands, waterfalls, wildlife and exceptional planting for you to roam in. The bothy has no mains water or electricity so is a real alternative experience, with separate flush toilet and washing facilities. Otherwise all home comforts are provided with double bed, kitchenette and wood-burning stove to create a cosy atmosphere

What was once a chicken shed is now a sweet, cosy pet-friendly cottage perfect for families, adventurers, readers, writers, nature lovers. There are two bedrooms (one king size bed, one twin), a wood burning stove, lovely fresh characterful décor, books, a spacious kitchen, stunning views. You can explore beautiful beaches, great small towns, rolling hills or just enjoy looking out the window. You'll hear owls, see hares and red kites and get a taste of this undiscovered corner of Scotland.

The spacious, well-equipped yurt is tucked away in a large private home garden in a beautiful glen, with Scaur Water on the doorstep. The Yurt at Craignee is a snug (but surprisingly spacious), off-grid retreat, with wood burner and garden, surrounded by peace and wildlife. A beautiful 5 bedroom house set in a semi-rural location within 10 minutes drive from both Dumfries town centre and Thornhill. There are many things to do in Dumfries. It can be a parkland golf course, mountain bike trails at the 7 stanes, camera obscura, a farmers market, restaurants, children's play parks, hills, rivers, forest walks and much more. Dumfries' museums are also treasure troves for uncovering the local history including Robert Burns.

Charming chalet in peaceful rural location.

Our chalet is in our large, well managed garden. While it is near our house and we are happy to chat, we always respect peoples privacy. This is a very peaceful place where you can sit outside and watch the flames of the fire pit at night or stay in and have a cosy evening. Our neighbours are all of the four legged variety so some countryside noises are to be expected but the cows love to come and greet you at the wall. Parking space in garden

Welcome to our idyllic riverside cottage. Nestled in the picturesque Dumfries & Galloway countryside and set on the banks of Cairn Water. The area is rich with wildlife. Red squirrel, deer, kingfisher, woodpecker, red kite, buzzard and otter are just a few of the local visitors spotted from our garden. Stepford Station Cottage is the perfect cosy retreat for nature lovers. We welcome up to 2 well behaved dogs at no extra fee.
