Welcome to Shuma! A place of beauty, tranquility and pure connection with nature! This is bare foot living at its best. This house has been built with organic,sustainable materials and has its own private access to one of the most beautiful beaches on the Kenya Coast. The house is secluded in a very private and protected part of Watamu. It boasts a stunning pool and it`s surrounded by a verdant jungle-like garden full of flowers and birds. This is a place to come and forget all your troubles....

The Stone House is self-catering and contains, in the main bedroom, one double and one 3/4 bed with an en-suite bathroom, flush toilet, bath and shower. The lounge, with a fireplace, contains a single bed and couch. Bedding is provided and mosquito nets. Joy River Backpackers is situated at the very beginning of the Blyde River Canyon. A genuine African village experience, rustic & laid-back atmosphere prevails and the buildings blend serenely into that of the village. The water is potable.

When you stay with 2 people or more you can use the second cottage. Wonderful housekeeper and caretaker on site.
