We have the Rutland Vineyard, a village stores, it is near Rutland Water, there are fab local walks, a great food scene, and there is Burghley House in Stamford, “England’s most attractive town” according to John Betjeman. For me, it is like the Loire and Cotswold towns, but friendlier and with fewer Range Rovers.

The property is set in the heart of this popular market town opposite the historic Uppingham School. It is perfect for any visitors to the school and is a short walk from the town's amenities which include a good range of independent shops and eating establishments. It is a spacious two bedroom house with a large, beautiful kitchen/ dining space and sheltered walled courtyard garden. The house has been decorated and furnished to a high standard.

'The Maid's cottage was a perfect retreat and photos don't do it justice'. Our cottage is the ideal accommodation for couples or families with children to have a relaxing retreat in this cosy home, with its own hot tub. We feel it is suitable for 2 adults and up to 2 children, who would be happy to sleep on the sofa bed downstairs. The garden is enclosed and perfect for dogs. It was completely renovated in 2020 and opened in late 2021.
