Geldeston is a glorious place to be and enjoyed by many visitors. The village is on the river Waveney with lots of places to access the river, very popular with walkers, cyclists and boaters. We’ve converted our home office and ex-teenage den into an airy, spacious studio (48sqm) providing contemporary living, sleeping and even working space in a self-contained outbuilding in the garden of our cottage. A peaceful rural location overlooking the market town of Framlingham, the Office is a 15 minute walk (3 mins drive) into the town, with its castle, church, pubs, cafes, boutiques and twice weekly market. It is an ideal base for visiting Framlingham and the Suffolk coast 25mins away.

On the Suffolk Essex border surrounded by fields, trees, and plenty of wildlife lies our old late 18th century stable building. Just 5 minutes off the A12 and you are in a different world. We live in the thatched Farm Cottage, the oldest part dating back to the 15th century and the stable is situated at the end of the drive. Excellent location for cycling (on the National Cycle Route 1), or visiting Jimmys Farm just 4.9 miles up the road. Walking is a must or just relax and unwind!

The Carter's Loft

Situated deep in the Suffolk countryside, The Carter's Loft is a beautifully presented studio bursting with charm. The popular local pub (White Horse) offers good food and local beer. There are numerous footpaths on the doorstep, a community cafe selling homemade cakes and refreshments (open 10.30 - 12.30 Wed - Thurs, occasional Sundays and some super evening events) plus our local vineyard. We are close to historic Framlingham and within easy reach of the heritage coast.

This comfortable and charming brick and flint cottage boasts light and airy accommodation is well placed for exploring the area’s many delights, walking, cycling and bird watching are especially catered for locally. Bawdsey is also the home of radar and close to Sutton Hoo, Anglo Saxon burial site.

The coastal towns Southwold and Aldeburgh are around 45mins drive. The accommodation includes a double bedroom, large shower room and an open plan living, kitchen, dining room. We have off road parking with private access to the barn, and garden area completed with dining table, outside lighting and comfy reclining chairs.
