The Paper Mill Stables

Set in the beautiful grounds of a fifteenth century Wealden hall house, The Stables is a delightful oak framed cottage - a hidden-away and peaceful haven for two. There is a sitting room with woodburner for super cosy nights in, and the pretty bedroom has a luxurious 4000 pocket sprung king size bed, and quality Egyptian cotton linen. Outside is a secluded garden with a terrace, and seventy acres of woodland and pasture to wander through; our resident Labradors will be pleased to join you!

Unique Shepherds Hut for Two

You are invited to enjoy a staycation with us in a luxury Shepherds Hut! We offer an idyllic getaway to the West Sussex countryside. From outside it appears to be a classic Shepherds Hut, as featured in Netflix feature film "The Dig", but inside it is a luxury space for up to two people furnished with a comfy double bed. The hut is fully insulated with underfloor heating to keep you warm on chilly nights and well ventilated with double doors and windows on those barmy summer evenings.

Wickham Manor - William Penn Wing

Our beautiful William Penn Wing comes with a lounge and two large rooms. The dining area does not have a kitchen but does include a fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, microwave, cutlery, crockery and seating. Upstairs you will find the William Penn Suite, a very large room with a sofa area and king sized four poster bed with en suite. Named after the founder of Pennsylvania who once lived here, It’s located in our 16th century country house, which is a 20 minute walk from the Beach.

Be a country person, garden lover, we are a 200 year old stable block is super light, with vaulted ceilings. A large sitting room, big bedroom, up a step to the kitchen/diner and bathroom. The newly fitted kitchen has sink, microwave, hob, and fridge/freezer. Mayfield village walks. Fo National Trust houses, castles, and the South Downs Small dogs welcome. The cottage overlooks the cutting gardens. A Private seating areas & wifi good for a working retreat! double sofa.

Enjoy this cosy but spacious room, it has its own entrance with a south facing patio and garden. An ensuite shower room and super king size bed. The room has lovely views,and private garden over looking a tree lined paddock, full of wildlife. Enjoy an early morning cuppa whilst relaxing in the super king size bed, or a evening glass of wine on the patio, and you may even see an owl swooping and foraging for food. There is a great pub only a short 5 minute walk away.
