Watauga River Cottage in Johnson City, TN

Make some memories at this unique, family-friendly waterfront river cottage (approx. 1,700 sf)! Fish, relax in the hammocks, or soak in the hot tub overlooking the river. Kayaks and life jackets available upon request at no charge (life jackets required). Please note we have a video camera overlooking the driveway, stairway, and river bank below the cottage. This property has stairs to enter and many stairs down to the river bank, plus uneven floors inside. Please consider this before booking.

Recently renovated and designed for comfort, our home gives you the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. Whether you’re casting a line, enjoying the fire pit, or just taking in the river views, you’ll feel completely REELaxed from the moment you arrive.

Our mountain sanctuary

Come relax and play in the great outdoors. Our area is abundant with lakes, rivers, waterfalls and hiking (the Appalachian trail is just a mile away). Our rustic cabin is built from 1875 hand hewn logs and is located on Spivey Creek in Unicoi County Tennessee. The towns of Erwin TN and Burnsville NC are just down the mountain for shopping convenience. For the arts, entertainment and airport convenience Asheville NC and Johnson City TN are less than an hour away. Come stay in our lovely cabin.

There is large hot tub which can fit 4 or more adults. House includes an access ramp in case needed. Lots of parking for multiple cars or boats/trailer

Country Cottage gives you the chance to relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay with great mountain views. We are also pet friendly, with plenty of yard to let them play while you enjoy the mountain scenery! The living room has a couch with a queen pull out bed, and the back room also has a pull out futon bed for more guests! The master bathroom has a walk in shower. There is a carport outside of the house that will hold up to 2 cars. We hope you enjoy! :)

The area is safe - it is a residential area with many families, and is where lots of ETSU faculty live.

Located a few minutes away from Watauga Lake and the Appalachian Trail, this 600 sq ft abode is fully re-built inside and out. Amenities include WIFI, cable TV, DVD player, kitchenette, outdoor barbecue, camp fire area, hot tub on a covered deck and walking areas for pets, which we welcome to our place at no extra charge. This home is situated at the rear of our property in a rural area only 10 minutes from Elizabethton; a quiet and peaceful Vacation Retreat.
