The Hideaway on Mitchellii Lane

A completely furnished apartment in the basement of our log home (we live on main floor) on 5 acres of woods above beautiful Shavehead Lake. Entrance into the apartment through a screened in porch and double French doors provides privacy and space to relax and enjoy the beautiful outdoor landscape. A large egress window allows natural sunlight into the bedroom on the opposite side of the wall from the kitchen/dining room/living room. High speed internet & YouTubeTV provide entertainment options.

Half-Moon Cottage

Enjoy privacy in this beautifully handcrafted cottage with arched ceilings. The cottage is 2 miles from downtown Goshen - a vibrant small town with restaurants and shops. It's 1 mile from Goshen College, 45 minutes from Notre Dame and 25 minutes from the Amish town of Shipshewana. The cottage is beside a fruit, nut and berry orchard and gardens. It's adjacent to a city bike trail that links to the Pumpkinvine nature/bike trail. It's close to a train crossing (with whistle) and a busy street.

The cabin boasts Wi-Fi, TV screen w options,a soaker tub, queen bed, recliners with heating feature, a full kitchen stocked with pots and pans, a washer and dryer. Everything you need for a longer stay.

Private Entrance Guest Suite on the River

Stay in our studio apartment suite with private exterior door entrance. Hosts live in the rest of the house. From the backyard you can fish, kayak/canoe, paddle board, enjoy a bonfire, grill, and relax by the river. There's a king memory foam bed, sleeper sofa, and 49" TV. Remote work friendly with spacious workspace desk, fast WIFI, and coffee. The closet has a mini food prep area with mini fridge and microwave, and grill out on back patio. It's a quick 15 min drive to Notre Dame.

Whether you are on a weekend getaway, wanting to explore the lovely towns of Shipshewana & Middlebury, or in the area to enjoy a Notre Dame game the Back Porch is the perfect place for you. At the Back Porch, guests enjoy a dreamy interior with live plants and the peaceful nature out back. Guests can easily observe Amish country, the Shipshewana flea market (16 min), stroll through the beautiful quilt gardens of Middlebury (15 min), or cheer on a Notre Dame football game (40 min).

The Serenity Suite

The Serenity Suite is one of two listings to accommodate guests. This suite is a 230 sq ft. tiny house studio apartment created in 2022. A kitchen island with 2 barstools is in the center of the space. This can be used as a sit down eating spot or a dedicated workspace. The 3/4 bath boasts up to date accessories and soft, thirsty towels. Please check out our Whispering Pines listing for a more spacious area. It will accommodate 1-5 guests at a very competitive price.

Mullet's Speed Shop

Refresh and relax at this newly constructed guest suite! Mullet's Speed Shop is conveniently located just 3 minutes from the famous Das Dutchman Essenhaus Restaurant and Bakery, less than 10 miles from the quaint shops of Shipshewana, and an easy 40 minute drive to Notre Dame (for the football fans). Take a bike ride or a peaceful walk on the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail less than 2 miles away. Nestled in the heart of Amish country, enjoy the buggies passing by!

River Retreat

This property offers the entire lower level of our home and back yard that you will have all to yourself. We live upstairs and you have your own private entrance. There is no kitchen, but a gas grill, microwave, coffee maker and mini fridge are provided. There are large windows in the master bedroom, and the living room has two large windows in addition to a glass sliding door that opens to a private backyard with fire pit next to the Elkhart River.

This charming, semi-private cottage, set in a quiet country location is perfect for your next getaway. Small kitchenette with sink, fridge and microwave provides you with kitchen basics.
