红色火车车厢

The Red Train Carriage is a special place to stay next to the train tracks of The Swanage Railway. We believe it was built in about 1858 for GER as a 2nd class passenger carriage. It was just a shell when we got it, with it's original walls, doors, ceiling and floor, but the seating had been removed. There was only a few clues about its history in some of the doors and windows. We have saved as much of the original carriage as possible whilst making it a comfortable place to stay for a week.

La cinquième baie du monde pour l’amplitude de ses marées est située sur l’axe de migration Manche-Atlantique. Entre 30 000 et 40 000 oiseaux font ici une halte migratoire ou y résident en hivernage. Le logement est fourni avec serviettes et linge de lit fait. Il y aura aussi : thé, café, savons (…) pensez à remplacer ;)

Formerly part of the Madgeon estate in the 1800s, this secluded spot gives you exclusive, sole use to relax and enjoy the view with your partner and 4 legged friends. There is easy access from the M5 and A303, providing a great base to explore the Blackdowns, Somerset countryside and attractions and the beautiful Jurassic coast.
