We’ll be awakening your taste buds at a producer-centric and newly renovated restaurant at Eataly Flatiron, which offers a unique vermouth and vermouth-based cocktail menu. We’ll head to the restaurant’s private dining room to meet with an Eataly Beverage Expert. Together, we'll guide you through a sensory tasting of five vermouths, discussing the botanicals and ingredients behind them. While vermouth may be best known as a critical component in cocktails such as the Negroni, it’s also a traditional fortified wine from Torino. In fact, the first Eataly store opened in Torino over a decade ago, taking the place of an old vermouth company. For the perfect Italian experience, this tasting will be paired with aperitivo bites and a workshop on how to create two vermouth-based cocktails.
Ciao! I’ve always been enticed by food and culture, and this path led me to study Culinary Arts in the USA, and food systems worldwide. For over three years, I studied, worked, and lived in Italy, in the birth town of the Slow Food movement. There, my love for Italian gastronomy blossomed. At Eataly, I get to create events that educate others about Italian culture and food—how cool.
Italian aperitivo bites You'll learn about and taste traditional Italian aperitivo bites.
Beverages You will receive tasting pours of five vermouths, and a taste of the two cocktails that you learn to create.
Tasting notes I'll supply tasting notes for you, so you won't forget anything you learned.
We’ll be in the beautiful glass-enclosed private dining room of a renowned restaurant located in the heart of Eataly Flatiron.
Apetite to learn, and let's not forget, to drink & snack!
