In this hands-on class you’ll learn how to create a real, Neapolitan-style pizza in your home kitchen. First, you'll learn how to mix and knead dough from scratch. We’ll also have an in-depth discussion about yeast and fermentation, shaping and stretching dough, and learning techniques for topping and finishing. Afterwards, you'll put your own creative spin on a custom pizza, and of course, sit down to enjoy the fruits of your labor. Aside from leaving with some serious pizza knowledge, you’ll walk away with enough dough to make two pies at home.
I have been cooking professionally and teaching cooking classes in New York for three years, drawing on my academic background in nutrition and culinary arts. As a lead instructor at the Brooklyn Kitchen, I further the school's mission by teaching home chefs how to cook with their senses, and I'm inspired by finding joy in quality and simple ingredients.
