Struggling to find a good cup of coffee in New York? Well I'll show you where to find a coffee that not only tastes amazing but also plays a vital role in protecting the future of coffee and the people who grow it. I'll teach you about the entire production process from farm-to-cup and why it is just as important as the coffee itself. Be prepared to be absolutely buzzing after this because you’ll be smelling, tasting and cupping coffee yourself – like the pros. If you love coffee and the high that comes from helping others then this experience is for you!
I'm an Aussie who has recently moved to New York in pursuit of my dreams! I am passionate about coffee and the stories behind the cup. I grew up on a coffee plantation in Papua New Guinea and have been around the coffee farmers my whole life. I work for Coffee Kids and we collaborate with the next generation of coffee farmers to realize their full potential as part of the global coffee community.
Founded in 1988, Coffee Kids was the first nonprofit within the budding specialty coffee industry dedicated solely to improving coffee farmers’ quality of life. Since then, we have partnered with over 200,000 coffee-farming families in over 400 communities. Our goal is to empower young farmers and improve their livelihoods.
We'll be hanging out at New York's trendiest cafe's and coffee roasters, City of Saints, Cafe Grumpy, Gimme! Coffee and Irving Farm. The coffee from these shops is so hot right now. You'll spend the entire experience at a single location which are sprinkled through out Manhattan and Brooklyn. So don't be hoodwinked by the the map, the mysterious location of your coffee adventure will be revealed to you once you sign up.
最多可有7位年满14周岁的参与者参加。家长也可携带2岁以下的儿童参加。 To get the most out of this experience we prefer guests have at least an intermediate level of English speaking capabilities.
