Hi, I'm Shoto! I'm from Japan but lived in California for 5 years when I was a college student. After graduation, I moved to Myanmar to work for 2 and a half years. Then, I came back to Japan two years ago and started guiding people visiting Japan. I've been welcoming so many visitors so I know how to guide :) Also, I studied sociology so I'm interested in historical and cultural differences of Japanese society and the other ones, and love to share with you! The reason why I started doing a host in Hiroshima because I wanted you to know more about Hiroshima's past, present and future. Many people only see the dark side of Hiroshima because of the history. However, we have been always trying to overcome the past to bring a bright future to the next generation. Let's learn the history and think about our peaceful future together!
We will see all the must-see things, Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, Atomic Bomb Dome...etc. But also, I love to take you to the Orizuru Tower because we can feel the "peace and love" there. Many people see the dark side of Hiroshima, and of course I want you to know what happened in the past. But I also want you to know how the people have been trying to overcome and pass a bright future to the next generation. Let's make a paper crane together!
