The art of henna is practiced all over the world.
Join me and you’ll learn about the history and traditions of this ancient craft. I’ll teach you how to work with henna cones, providing you with simple patterns to help you get started. You’ll also have the chance to create your own motifs, and while you practice, I'll decorate each attendant's skin with their own unique design.
Even without any experience, anyone can create captivating henna, and I look forward to showing you how.

Sabreena Haque of Ritual by Design is one of the leading henna artists in the world, with over 110K Instagram followers. Classically trained, now based in San Francisco, her intricate designs can be personalized to suit an aesthetic range from traditional to contemporary.

We’ll be at my Ritual By Design studio in the artistic Mission district. The cozy space will transport you to the other side of the world as you learn the ancient art of henna.
Super fun experience! Not only did I learn henna techniques and get to practice, but also received Sabreena’s unique beautiful henna art on my hand! Comfortable setting, nicely paced instruction and plenty of encouragement. Sabreena has a clear passion and talent for this art.

It was a very fun and unique experience. The session was well structured, and I appreciated the touch of details (the tools and info cards carefully wrapped in a box, henna tattoo worksheets, an amazing chai tea!). Also each person gets an absolutely beautiful henna tattoo designed by Sabreena. I highly recommend this Airbnb experience!
