The tour consist in visiting the mean street market in Favara. So, that way the tour can be possible only in Friday morning, which start at 9 am. We meet in the mean square in Favara, Piazza Cavour, for a typical breakfast. After eat we will walk through the heart of the city ( 15min) to get the market. The shopping's area its very big. You can really lost there which can be a choice but my opinion is to visit the most interest stand. I can direct you in a specific area. This is local market so you can get second hand cloth, fashion, street food and typical amazing handmade food. Fresh lemonade and mint, coffe, brioche+granita, Ice cream, olives, bread, cheese and too much more!! The market is usually busy, takes time to visit it. But for sure it will be so fun for you. Is no a touristic place, above all in winter! It is a very interest experience to know, in a short time, Favara City ;)
Hello, my name is Silvia and I live in Favara since two years. I'm from Verona but I love Sicily and I decided to move here. I work at Farm Cultural Park, international cultural center in Favara. I studied interior design in Barcelona and then I move to London where I star my profession in visual merchandising and design store. I love fashion and to be in compares with different culture. I really like to stay and know different people and show what they can do in this amazing town, which is Favara.
Piazza Cavour is the mean square of Favara, close to the mother church. This it will be the meet point. I really suggest to come with empty stomach to start in the right way the experience. Near by the square the is a typically bakery. I could say the queen handmade bakery of Favara. Vintage stile and really pretty owner. After eat we go by walk to the market. We through the hear of the city, no touristic way and very traditional Sicilian style.
