We’ll start by finding a table in the airy courtyard, and talk about your writing, intentions and goals. Based on our conversation, I’ll curate your exploration of current exhibits. Then we’ll free-write to two or more experiential prompts, inspired by what we’ve seen and felt. Whatever your experience, I’ll meet you where you are and intuit specific suggestions to take your writing to the next level. As your muse at the museum, I’ll demonstrate innovative ways to overcome blocks and celebrate your authentic voice. I’ve discovered that exposure to art in this way evokes emotions and stirs memories – rich resources to mine for your writing. You might be surprised when new ideas and perspectives show up in unexpected ways! By listening to you express your point of view, and if you like, read what you’ve written, I’m able to shine a light on which of your strengths and unique qualities will enhance your writing going forward. Writers of all levels come away with inspiration, ideas, and often profound inner shifts. Some have gone on to publish, produce and perform writing they started on this experience. If you’re open to a fresh approach for greater freedom of expression, I’ll guide you toward insights and solutions that were within you all along. Afterward, you’ll leave with tools and techniques to keep your writing process flourishing.
A Los Angeles native, I’m an Emmy-nominated screenwriter, award-winning multi-published fiction and memoir writer. A member of WGAw and SAG/AFTRA, I’ve studied improv with the Groundlings, as well as alternative modalities to support my own writing – including yoga, meditation, shamanic practice, breathwork and Reiki. Whether it’s stories, essays, poetry, content, spoken word, scripts or song lyrics, I’m ready to help you discover new ways to generate and transcend your best writing.
