Guests will begin their authentic food experience in the beating heart of Naples: the Decumano Inferiore. This road, commonly known as "Spaccanapoli", is the main crossroads of Neapolitan street food. Here we will start with our tour, stopping three rotisseries among the best known in Naples, while we will admire the folklore of the city forwarding in its bowels. The tour will include 6 big tastes. The meeting with taste, interspersed with literary themed moments (cuisine and literature, you know, have always been a perfect match!), will end, with dessert (of course!). In Naples, the moment of dessert is a real pleasure for the palate!
I'm an editor and I deal with literature and writing, for work; but my biggest passion is food. I deepened the marriage between cuisine and literature, especially in regard to the traditions of my city. Traditional cuisine bites
We will start from the chaotic Spaccanapoli, the street of the historical center very populated by tourists and citizens. We will make 3 stops among the most famous takeaways, tasting 6 specialties of the street food made in Naples ("zeppole", omelette, the "cuoppo" of fried fish etc). The tour will include also a "sweet" bite (Naples is the capital of babà and sfogliatella). Finally, a proper coffee break will not be missing!
We will walk for some hours through the heart of the city of Naples. Therefore, comfortable shoes and "easy" outfits are recommended. And of course do not forget your camera!
