Depending on the day of the week, I will personally take you and your family to whatever farmer's market is going on that day (the best are on the weekends). I can also escort you to Specialty Produce, which supplies San Diego county's restaurants with locally sourced, organic produce. Prior to shopping, we will have a brief conversation of what sort of meal you are in the mood for and any dietary restrictions or aversions you might have. After shopping for produce, we can head to any number of meat and/or seafood markets. Being on vacation, it is sometimes nice to be out of the way of crowds and to experience a city the way locals do; to visit neighborhoods. And it is especially refreshing to have a home cooked meal. As a local San Diegan, as a foodie, and as a chef, it gives me great pleasure to share that side of this city that I love so much. I graduated culinary school in 2011 from San Diego Culinary Institute and was the recipient of the President's Award. Since then I have worked in a couple of restaurants and quite extensively as a personal and private chef.
Beth has been a resident of San Diego for 20 years and has traveled extensively throughout the country, and around the world. In 2011, she graduated from San Diego Culinary Institute and was the recipient of the President's Award for her commitment to the culinary profession and her dedication to the highest of standards. While she has experience working in restaurant kitchens, what she really enjoys about cooking is sharing both her passion for food and her love of San Diego with others. In 2017, she embarked on a month-long adventure with her 18 year old niece to the Arctic Circle.

The BEST farmer's markets, in my opinion, are in Little Italy (8am - 2pm on Saturdays) and La Jolla (9am - 1:30pm) on Sundays. There are multitudes of others. Or we can visit Specialty Produce, where local restaurants shop. They sell farmer's market produce as well. Depending on what protein you prefer, we can visit either a proper meat market or a local seafood purveyor.
