Want to get to know the soul of Lisbon? The writing’s on the wall, baby! We’ll trace the course of the city’s street art from its origins in Bairro Alto through to its contemporary representation in LX Factory. We’ll even let you leave your own mark so you can be sure the city won’t forget you. Explore the streets of Lisbon in a journey combining street art, history and culture and covering diverse neighbourhoods. Get to know Portuguese national artists and see some breathtaking pieces! We'll share our insider knowledge as two Lisbon lovers working here as tour guides since 2015.
We are Lara, from the UK and Katrina, Portuguese-American: two friends who have lived in 7 different countries but who, in 2016, chose Lisbon as our home. We are licensed tour guides and we want to share our passion and knowledge about the city with other travellers through our special interest in street art and history.
Starting in Camões Square, we'll walk through Bairro Alto, where street art in Lisbon was born. Next we'll head to the renowned Urban Art Gallery. Then we'll walk down to the water's edge and soak up the sun, stopping for a cold drink on the way before jumping on the train to Alcantara - where the station itself is a street art haven - and finish the tour in Lisbon's hyper-cool LX Factory.
