Before we start on the kayaking trip, you will be prepped for the night kayaking trip - donning of the life jacket, headlight, and a glow band. You will then be briefed on how to use your paddles (oars) to row and manoeuvre your kayak, safety instructions, and tips to enhance your experience. Before we start the actual trip, you will be tested for your paddling skills and then the kayaking trip begins led by an experienced kayaking guide. As we kayak, you will learn more about your surroundings. Marvel in the natural phenomenon of bioluminescence on moonless nights. You will be enthralled by the night sky on cloudless moonless nights and indulge in skygazing to identify constellation and learn more about some of the stars. On full moon nights, you get a better visibility of your surroundings and the mangroves look gorgeous bathed in moonlight. We then return to our starting point after an unforgettable night kayaking experience, which like most guests, you would want to do it again!
Ali and I as part of Captain Hook's team, love taking guests on kayaking trips around Havelock Island and help them appreciate the pristine nature as we glide on the blue ocean. We (either of us) enjoy hosting interactive session with the guests to enhance their experience by sharing information about the mangrove trees, a bit of history of the island, and other interesting trivias. Guests have reciprocated by consistently rating the experience as 5 star on online review platforms.

We will walk a short distance from our meeting point to our kayaking embarkation point. From there we will start our journey to a sheltered bay along Mangrove trees and depending on the weather and tidal conditions go deeper into a Mangrove creek and then return. The whole trip is around 3 kms (1.8 miles) and takes around 2 hours to complete.
最多可有10位年满18周岁的参与者参加。 You should be comfortable with water and darkness.
Comfortable cotton clothing
Carry sufficient cash to cover your expenses as not many places accept credit cards. You may want to rent a 2 wheeler to explore the island at your own pace. Also, it will help you commute from your place of stay to the kayak start point as there may not be any public transport available at night.
