Start your day the way the Danes do - with a perfectly brewed cup of coffee from your local roaster, a freshly baked pastry (or two) and plenty of hygge. We (Mad About Copenhagen) are as about as nerdy as you can get about this stuff, and we'll take you to meet the best bakers and coffee makers, and eat some of the famously good pastry on offer in Denmark. It's a chilled-out experience, where we'll visit 2 - 3 places in one neighbourhood, taste a little bit of everything, and chat about foodie Copenhagen.
Mad About Copenhagen
"Mad" is Danish for "food", and that's what we're all about. We're a small team who spend our waking lives exploring, nerding up on, and writing about Copenhagen's ever-changing food scene. We focus on everything from the hole-in-the-wall kebab shop to the Michelin-starred restaurants. There is so much going on in our little city, and we want to bring the hidden gems and the one-off foodie pop-ups to locals and visitors alike. These are the places you won't find in books or tourist guides.
1 x Craft coffee
There is a LOT of good pastry and coffee in Copenhagen. Standards are high. But if you've only got a few days in town, you don't just want to eat at any bakery. The bakeries and coffee shops we go to aren't the chains (lagkagehuset, meyers, reinh van hauen), but the independents.
