We'll meet you in Vietri sul mare. From there, we'll reach the village of Alessia, where our adventure begins. We'll start our social walk to "San Liberatore" mountain that, with its distinctive cross, dominates Vietri and embraces the gulf of Salerno. During the 40 minutes walk, I will tell you more about Vietri while enjoying the landscape characterized by rich Mediterranean vegetation, breathing in salubrious air and especially admiring the view of the Tyrrhenian sea. Just before reaching the top, we'll encounter the ancient convent of "Cristo Re Liberatore" dating back to the VIII century - we know some local curiosities about it! Once back down in the peaceful shade of trees, we will have a fantastic picnic with local Mozzarella and salami, along with local drinks. If you're interested in the Path of the Gods, please take a look at our friend's experience. My name is Vittoria and I'm a tour leader (accompagnatore turistico) from Vietri sul Mare. My boyfriend, Marco, was born in Sardinia and lives in Vietri sul mare. We are in love with this small pretty village sourrounded by so much nature: the sea on one side and mountains on the other. Whenever we can, we take the chance to walk around the beautiful paths that this coast offers. We love spending time in the open air, in contact with nature as it gives us a different perspective on life and fills us with a lot of different emotions. We are excited to show as many guests as possible this magical place!

Our meeting point is Vietri sul Mare, known for its polychrome ceramics tradition and for being the gateway to the Amalfi Coast. Mount "San Liberatore" embraces much of Salerno's territory: from the far Cilento to Piana of Paestum, from the south of Vietri and the Amalfi Coast to the west and the nearby town of Cava de' Tirreni. We will see a sanctuary dedicated to Christ the King and a large iron cross at the top of the mountain.

Hikes are weather dependent so, please, dress appropriately. You will need your own car! We'll meet in Vietri and you will follow me to the foot of the mountain where we'll park our cars.
