Do you think you can’t draw, or are frustrated and think this has to be easier? You’ve come to the right place.
All you need is a sense of humor, some paper, pencils, and erasers.
At the end of our two hour class, I look forward to hearing you say “I CAN draw and this is FUN!”
I’m Gene Hamm and in my How to Draw Caricatures class, we will make drawing simple as we utilize tips and tricks, I acquired from years of experience working in Hollywood animation studios.
These are tips and tricks they don’t teach you in art school.
I have experienced teaching a wide range of ages and abilities, from an 8 year old in China to an 80 year old in England. And for example, in 2018 a class of my special needs adults won a film festival in New York with their collection of animated shorts.
This How to Caricature class starts with me drawing a caricature of you. Then you draw along with me, as we move on to drawing a cartoon character from every angle utilizing simple yet professional tips and tricks.
My schedule makes the class available for any time zone in the world. At no extra charge I customize each class to accommodate one on one private lessons, birthday parties, corporate team building or any occasion. This also makes a much appreciated gift for the aspiring or experienced artist in your life.

- Today we had our first Airbnb online experience. We wanted to do something different and memorable for our first Valentines Day and we couldn't be more happy with our choice of experience. Gene is such a character and has so much knowledge and passion for what he does, its a real pleasure to talk with him and generally have a good laugh. Plus we have so many drawings to keep and remember the tricks of the trade from. We'd recommend this experience to anyone who is up for trying something out of the norm and having fun, its not about being perfect. We look forward to seeing more online experiences from Gene, we will definitely be first in line to join and learn more. Thank you very much Gene!
- Fun upbeat class. Gene does a great job including all the attendees. He has a nice sense of humor. He does a quick drawing of each person but most of the class is spent teaching you different drawing techniques. Easily worth the $ and a fun activity when you can't be with friends in person!
