Get to know the real Saigon through its street food and this guided photo-walk. We'll start at a local artisanal coffee spot then head to our destination which includes a range of architecture, local city life, as well as a traditional market, where I'll point out different interesting dishes and ingredients that I've come across in my cooking. At the end of the experience, we'll have a meal at one of my favorite places in the city. All skill levels welcome—I'm a camera-phone photographer myself. I think we all can learn from each other, which is one of the benefits of doing a social photography event.
I'm a Vietnamese-American who moved to Vietnam because I fell in love with the motherland that I never knew. I want to enable others to see and share its hidden gems, so the world can see the Vietnam I see—an amazing and vibrant country changing at breakneck speed. I've noticed that a lot of people have misconceptions about Vietnam, so I want visitors to go beyond the tourist traps, and see the real Saigon. Outside of photography, I'm also the founder and chef of Saigonita, a Vietnamese-Mexican closed door restaurant. instagram/tam_le
Street food. Street snacks Let me know if you have any dietary restrictions.. Let me know if you have any dietary…
Artisanal tea or coffee I'll buy you a drink at the meeting spot.
Transportation I will provide transportation to and from the photo spot—unless we decide to go by motorbike.
The location will vary depending on your personal interests—I will try to accommodate the wishes of the group as best I can. It also depends on the weather and seasonal events such as the Lantern Festival and Lunar New Year. Just know that we won't be going to places where you'll find many tourists.
最多可有6位年满10周岁的参与者参加。 You must be able to climb up a flight of stairs and walk around busy city streets for about two hours.
*Because rainy season is upon us (May-late November), I am doing tours on a case-by-case basis. Please message me if you are interested and we'll see if we can make something work.*
