This experience is all about the love of food, community and hospitality. If there's anything you want to request, we're totally open to suggestions for customization! 1. Sit-N-Sip Kick back and relax - I've learned the tricks-of-the-trade from a couple of queens who own Drink Slingers (a bar service that did a massive activation last year for SXSW for WestWorld), so we're going to make you a cocktail or mocktail upon your arrival to a super cute East Austin abode. 2. Acquire A New Skill Edgar (Chef Rico if ya nasty) will have most of the ingredients prepped out, will walk you through the menu, how it's prepared and will show you how to execute a fresh ta death dish. 3. Go-Time The best part of cooking is eating. Duh. We'll style a table either indoors or outdoors (weather pending) so y'all can enjoy the fruits of you + Edgar's labor. 4. Sharing Is Caring All throughout this experience, we can connect and tell you some tales of Austin, give you recommendations and just get to know each other! Hopefully you have an awkward story or two to contribute.
Hi, y'all - my dude, Edgar, and I totally geek out on everything hospitality. I have worked in high-end event management, providing dope ass events for Refinery29, Buzzfeed, UnderArmour, etc during SXSW. Edgar has been cooking his whole life - he attended culinary school in NY and then parlayed that into a career as a chef in LA. He's helped open several restaurant concepts there, including Son of a Gun, Trois Mec, and Sqirl. We are also about to open our own taco baby, Nixta Taqueria!

We'll provide (1) alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage upon your arrival, but if you’d like to BYOB, that’s totally kosher.
We will be hosting this cooking course in our lovely, 20's cottage-style home on the East Side of Austin. It's in a neighborhood, but on the same street as several bars, so in the event you wanted to roam after the experience, there's some great options nearby.
