During this curated ride through Austin, we'll start on the east side, hitting a local brewery where we'll have a beer and a taco on me from one of the best little Mexican restaurants in town. I'll get your taco order before the ride. After that, we'll ride a few miles of sweet Austin nature trails along Lady Bird Lake, stopping at some major points of local interest. You'll see the best bridge view in town and ride some fun highlights on the trail, like the fun mini-loop and railroad tie bridge downtown. Throughout the ride, I'll tell you about the local stuff I know. If you want ;) We'll cruise through downtown and the funky part of the east side on the way back to our final brewery and/or cidery stop, where I'm always happy to share my personal favorite places for things like bars, bats, and food stuff. If you desire additional beers and tacos I can advise on that too ;) Your drinks are on you at the last stop. The route uses bike paths, the (gravel and paved) hike & bike trail, and low traffic streets. Total distance is just over 10 miles (16 km) of riding broken up into smaller chunks, with plenty of stops to take photos. And you'll get a bike, beer, and taco on me.
I'm a native Texan, former travel guide, bike lover, and taco hound! When I'm not at my day job, I spend as much of my free time on my bike as I can, enjoying exactly what my Airbnb Experience is all about–bikes, beers, and tacos. The city's unique hike and bike trail system offers a host of different attractions. I've curated some cool routes and I'm excited to share them with you. There's also beer and a classic Austin breakfast taco on me.
Taco I'll buy you a basic taco from a classic Austin establishment.
Beer I'll buy you a 10 oz. beer at the first brewery.
Bicycle rental I'll provide your bike rental.
Bike helmet, lock I'll provide optional helmet, and a lock.
I'll meet you at Eastside Pedal Pushers, and we'll ride some of the most enjoyable parts of the hike and bike trail system. We'll start the ride on the funky east side, hitting a local brewery/beer garden for a brew and a classic Austin taco. We'll circle Lady Bird Lake, stop at the "Bat Bridge," and visit local landmarks. You'll see essential points of interest and many great views of the city from and around the manicured bike trails of Austin.
最多可有10位年满13周岁的参与者参加。 Guests must be able to ride a bicycle, and it's a good idea to wear closed-toe shoes.
Bring ID for the bikes and bars, and money for extra food, drinks, and if you feel like tipping your guide :). It's a medium difficult ride of 10 total miles, with a few small hills. Austin is sunny!
