Inspired by my time in Rome and my passion for cooking, this class will teach you the basics of preparing a delicious risotto! We'll start the class with a glass of your preferred beverage and some snacks, walk through some basic knife skills and then together we'll make a seasonal risotto dish (for fall it's roasted red pepper + pumpkin!) that you'll be able to replicate back at home. At the end of the class we get to sit down and enjoy the fruits of our labor. You’ll leave with a full stomach and some insider (Native!) info about this great city of ours. Welcome to Nashville! I am a certified health coach, detox chef & 200 hour yoga teacher. My parents (& sister) rock & instilled in us a love of good food, a passion for our city & a deep empathy for other people. I've been cooking for as long as I could reach the oven without getting in trouble & getting to share my love of healthy cooking is the greatest gift. I get my cooking skills from my father, a chef training in Bali & some time as a kitchen manager at a raw vegan restaurant in Nashville called Avo. But some fair warning, if you see our mom in the kitchen you might want to ask for a refund.

You'll join our family around the kitchen island and sip wine on the luxury screened-in porch complete with wood burning stove and relaxing swing bed in Bellevue on the west side of Nashville.
You won't need to bring anything but an appetite! You can park at the top of the driveway, be careful turning into the driveway it's very steep. Three cars can park at the top!
