Berlin is an exciting and quirky collage, an eclectic and edgy mix full of contradictions. Every historical era has had its share of destruction, both intentional and otherwise, leaving behind opportunities to rebuild. This happened both with style and modernity, and often with unusual utopian ideals, making Berlin what it is today. We ride through 800 years of Berlin history: from historic to modern aspects, where the renowned and the questionable come together to create a city unlike any other. This bike tour is the perfect way to get to know Berlin. With an interesting mix of entertainment and information, we bring you closer to many complicated and significant topics with ease.

Since 2004 Berlin on Bike is guiding tours through the German capital. Located in the Kulturbrauerei we start our tour in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg, a former working class district. Our guides are long-term residents with a passion for Berlin, its history and of course cycling around. All of them love to share the experience to discover the city from the bike point of view. So after the tour you will have a better understanding what makes Berlin such a compelling city to live in!
We start at Kulturbrauerei, a industrial brewery complex in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg, which is one of the former Berlin working class districts. During the tour we will cover almost 8 centuries of Berlin history from the very beginning, to Prussian era, WWI & II & Cold War, Jewish Berlin & modern architecture. What we will see for sure: Brandenburg gate, Reichstag, Holocaust Memorial, Museum Island, Berlin Cathedral, and mayn more.
We leave at 11am! Please be here 15 minutes prior to the tour, so we have time to get you on a bike and start the tour on time. If more than 12 people on the same tour, we split up & have 2 guides.
