We'll be heading outside Montreal for a couple of hours. While driving, I will be explaining the process and about the major astronomical events/objects. Once we arrive at our destination, we'll be setting up our cameras as our eyes adapt to the darkness. I will explain more about the sky on that day and show you the visible constellations. Then, I will explain the process for astrophotography. We will be taking many shots of the sky and the landscape. If you bring your own camera, I will help you to use it and get amazing night shots. I will also take photos of you with the stars if you wish to. Also, I love taking group photos, so if you agree, we'll be standing still for some seconds in order to capture the group with the sky and the landscape around us. Finally, once done, we will be heading back to Montreal, and during the drive, I will explain more on how to process your photos to get a better end result.
Hi! I’m Samer, founder of Zenderfull.com. I’m a night sky enthusiast and would love to share my passion for sky exploration. I’ve first started getting into astrophotography in 2013 and, three years later, I started a community in Montréal for amateur astrophotographers. It's for everyone interested in night photography, long exposure photography, wide and narrow field astrophotography. Join me on this stellar expedition to explore the Quebec sky and learn the technical side of night photography, even if you don’t have a camera. We will be leaving Montreal, to the nearest nightspot to avoid light pollution and bring back the best memories & photos. What's better than disconnecting from our fast-paced life and seeing the stars?
I'll pick you up from a central location in Montreal, preferably Saint Laurent Metro station. When we're back I will drop you…
If you don't have a camera, I can let you use one of mine under my supervision. I'll provide a headlamp & hand warmers
We'll most likely head east where the skies are dark and where there's no light pollution, thanks to the sky reserve of mégantic. If it's cloudy east we will find another location possibly north near Mont-Tremblant. Since the weather in Quebec changes quickly, we will define where we are going the day before the activity occurs. IMPORTANT: In case the weather is bad we will reschedule the activity ahead of time.
最多可有5位年满18周岁的参与者参加。 Knowledge of photography basics is helpful but not necessary. Everyone is welcome to learn about astrophotography as well as the sky.
This activity is in the outdoor so be sure to dress up well for it. Also, be ready to be disconnected a bit as some locations have bad network coverage. We'll do a quick toilet stop on our way.
