For this hands-on introductory workshop suitable for beginners, you will learn how to use the tools of calligraphy, understand the basic strokes and will be able to write the full lowercase letterforms by the end of the session. Joyce is a calligrapher and designer at Joyce Chiang Ltd. Educated in the discipline of architecture, she graduated with a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania and is an AIA licensed architect. Her calligraphy and illustrations focus on formal and spatial compositions - letting the elements speak for themselves while maintaining an organic, delicate balance. Her aesthetic style consists of flowing lines, intricate florals, soft colors and beautiful textures.
