When you think about visiting a city, two things come to mind: sightseeing and food. What if you could have both in a single experience? Plus Paris can be quite an intimidating city with its reputation of unfriendly Parisian not speaking English and all this culture everywhere? Well I'm here to make you feel comfortable in my hometown and give you the keys so you can explore it by yourself later on. This walking tour covers about all the most famous sites close to the river Seine. On the way we will stop by a macaroons shop.
I run the Food & Travel website 716lavie.com since 2008, I explore Paris looking for the best restaurants with quality food AND friendly service. I'm also an official tour guide in Paris (levraiparis.com) member of the Paris Visitors Bureau. I show both the most famous places and the most unexpected areas of Paris. My guideline is authenticity.
We’ll start from the Concorde Square, where we can see so many major monuments at once: the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower—of course, Parliament, and the Luxor Obelisk. We'll walk through the Tuileries Garden, pass by the Vendome Square, and then head toward the Palais Garnier—home of the Opera National de Paris and one of my top monuments in Paris.
