You will receive a private tour from historian and owner of Moyglare House, Dr. Angela Alexander where she will guide you through the 18th-century reception rooms and provide details on the contents and surroundings. Moyglare House is a magnificent mid-eighteenth century country house, situated 1.5km north of Moyglare village on the borders of Counties Meath and Kildare, just 2km from Maynooth, County Kildare. The property has undergone extensive renovations to return the house to its former splendor, dressing each room in decorative antiques, furniture, and paintings. Moyglare House provides visitors with a taste of the many respective periods through which the house was remodeled; from 1764 to the Irish Regency Period. Around the turn of the 18th century, the hall underwent extensive remodeling, producing ornate plasterwork entirely unique to Moyglare House.
Tours of the house are given by Dr. Angela Alexander, the foremost academic on Dublin cabinet makers from the Irish Regency period. Angela is the owner of Moyglare House and will be the host for the historical tour and meaningful experience. Angela has been researching and collecting Irish furniture for many years and many more to come. Moyglare House has been Angela's largest restoration project to date, and the interiors show a love of strong colours and decorative objects.
