We will start the walk along the riverside promenade through the decaying memories of a once thriving fishing and boating community that inhabited this particular stretch of river. At the end we will find a small Naval Museum, a river garden, the old shipyards of Olho de Boi, and two beautiful and simple terrace restaurants . Than its time to go uphill, for that we can take the panoramic Elevator or we can go by stairs (level hard). When up there its all about the view over Lisbon. Next we walk 2 minutes, and visit a Casa da Cerca, that has a lovely botanic garden, a another beautifull view over lisbon, and small art museum. Than thru old Almada, we head for Jardim do castelo, another garden with a viewpoint. Next head to Cacilhas, thru Almada, in a easy downhill walk. Cacilhas, has a Legendary Church, an old lighthouse, the Fragata D. Fernando II e Glória (you can visit), the old submarine "Barracuda" and the old shipyards "Lisnave". Finally it´s time do pause and recharge, Cacilhas has got several pavement cafés, and it features some of the best restaurants, many specialized in fresh fish and seafood. Cacilhas is an old place, lots of history took place there. Is a place where thousands cross everyday but is also a meeting place and nightlife for all people from the south bank. Here you feel our realness. Cacilhas is an old place, lots of history took place here.
