The guests will be guided through the collection of the Ancient Art Museum in Lisbon. After the visit, we will move on for a wine tasting that correlates with what we have seen before. "Why do I like it?", you will hear the reasons why I chose to talk about some artworks. Hence, it is a personal and contemporary perspective over ancient aesthetics and themes - a non-linear narrative... During the wine tasting we will be introduced to the world of portuguese winemakers. Professionals who seek to make good and sustainable products, creating a strong identity and statement.
Developing this experience was the way to combine things that I love - good wine and meeting people - with my career as a visual artist. I believe I can introduce foreigners to an idiosyncratic Lisbon, walking with them through the corridors of Ancient Art Museum and tasting with them good wines of Portugal. Lisbon is my beloved city, therefore, I do not intend to behave as a regular tourist guide. I am a visual artist who is deeply involved in creating complex forms of expressions which I am keen to share with others.
2 wines Bread and Portuguese extra virgin olive oil will be served during the tasting.
Entrance to the Museum. The restaurant service, wines and entrance tickets are included in the price.
The group will meet at the side door of Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga. This Museum is very dear to me. Members of my family worked there for many years, so I feel it as my second home in Lisbon. Besides hosting a beautiful collection of Portuguese Art, the Museum has one of the most charming gardens in the city. It is a perfect location to sit down with a glass of wine and talk about perceptions, culture and senses.
In case of bad weather conditions the wine tasting will be indoors (but don't worry, the sun is usually shining in Lisbon!).
