This Experience offers an in-depth crash course on launching your own podcast. You'll learn you how to prepare, record, edit, and publish your podcast.
The session will also cover a range of hardware, software, and apps for podcast recording and production. The class will also include a podcast recording and editing demo session, allowing each attendee the experience of producing their own podcast.
By the end of the workshop, each attendee will leave with the knowledge necessary to launch their own podcast.
Other things to note
You are welcome to bring a notebook or laptop to take notes. I will provide mics and recording equipment.
Also, I do have two cats. So this experience might not be for you if you have pet allergies.

I have been working in Chicago media and the broadcast industries for over two decades. In 2005, I launched the first ever and longest-running music podcast in the City of Chicago's history. I also teach in the Business & Entrepreneurship department at Columbia College Chicago.

Jaimie has a deep knowledge of the podcasting world and have been honing the craft for many years. I was able to learn everything about how to start a podcast, and he even gave me the links to recommended equipment and software to use. I especially liked the portion on some hands-on editing. I really enjoyed Jaime’s class. The structure is laid out very well and he’s a great teacher. I was feeling stuck on next steps in starting a podcast and that this really helped me lay out what I need to do. If you’re a Mac person, this is especially beneficial for you.

Had a very useful experience which was worthwhile even despite my conference fatigue! I
was in town for a work conference but found this on AirBnB and seemed like a very efficient way to learn nuts and bolts of podcasting.
Jaime was really easy to relate to and super open to questions, being walked through the process saved me the however hundreds of hours I would have spent looking up all of this on my own.
FYI Studio is located in an area with fantastic urban art so allow yourself some time to walk around after class!
