I am Giorgio Galasso, born at the end of 50’s on the island of Giudecca, historical district of Venice. I decided to turn my passion for carnival masks into a profession and I opened my workshop. My aim is sharing with the visitors the art of the masks through the decoration and creation of these handcrafted artworks. In the workshop, from a few steps to St. Mark’s Square, I and my son Niccolo’ carry on this ancient tradition, proud to share and transmit this fascinating and ancient profession.
