1. Guests will be picked up at their accommodation in Havana at 9:45am to take a taxi to the workshop. 2. Arrival at clay workshop in Calabazar, 30 minutes from Havana center. Here you will meet a local Cuban family that has been working with clay for over 10 years. 3. The translator and Cuban family will explain the whole process of clay making and everyone will learn and make their clay art with supervision of our clay artisans. 4. Guests will take a break after a couple of hours, to share and enjoy snacks and organic juice provided by local Cuban family which is included in the experience. 5. Then it's time to paint and finish the customized artwork and see other pieces made by the artisans. 6. Guests can bring home their own Cuban artwork, so we wrap up and the group takes a taxi back to the pick-up point.
Our goal is to offer our guests an experience to learn and participate in a local Cuban clay and pottery workshop in small charming town just outside of Havana. This is a great way of exploring the authentic local life in an artistic way and see how the everyday life of an artisan looks like. You will customize your own piece and learn to mold, paint and work the wheel. Through art, workshop, creativity and design, we bring people around the world closer together.
