We'll meet at Vík hostel, just around 2-hour drive from Reykjavik. This is an opportunity to explore the entire South Coast of Iceland on the way to your Zipline Adventure if you are arriving from the capital city. When you are in Vík I'll get you dressed up in all the safety equipment required for the ziplining and we'll be on our way. The experience takes place in a little river canyon north of the town just south of one of Iceland's bigger volcanoes, Katla and Mýrdalsjökull glacier. There we whizz down the canyon on foot and ziplines in the mix until we end up at the starting point again. Make sure you've got good shoes, preferably hiking boots and are able to walk on uneven ground. After the Zipline experience, I can recommend some places you can grab a bite before you head towards Reykjavik again or you can stay in Vík and explore the area around, it's a lot of history here, mostly involving glaciers and volcanos.
I’m a co-founder of Zipline Iceland and one of few qualified Zipline guides in Iceland. I've ziplined in South Africa, Zimbabwe along with Iceland of course and plan on doing more of that across the world. With me in this adventure is my husband Sammi, either one of us will be guiding you, in my opinion, you're lucky if he turns out to be your guide and friend through this zipline experience.
The Zipline Adventure is included.
Harness, helmet, safety line and steel wheels.
The Zipline is located in a gorgeous river canyon right at the outskirts of Vík. I'll tell you some stories about the area while we make our way across the river, waterfalls, and canyons. It's all outdoors so make sure you dress according to the weather and wear good shoes, preferably hiking boots.
We have weight limits of 30 - 120 kg. and age restriction 8 years old. This is fun for the whole family and we make sure to push you a little out of your comfort zone but in a safe way of course.
