The safari outpost that we'll trek through, called Tumaren, sits within Laikipia, known in Kenya for the healthiest wildlife numbers in the country, including the second largest herd of elephants. We'll do a camel-assisted walk from our first camp at Brain Rock to Elephant Camp, spotting plains game and hopefully the predators that hunt them. We'll also learn to identify the markings of ancient humans that once called the rock formation home. Next, we'll walk along the Ewaso Nyiro River where elephants come to drink and bathe, and finally we’ll head back to Nanyuki airport.
